2010 Reunions

Class of 1960's 50-Year Reunion
The Reunion Committee is planning three days of activities on October 21-23. The Crowne Plaza Hotel (old Executive Inn West by the Kentucky Fairgrounds and Airport) will be our host hotel and has offered us a discounted rate of $109 per night (plus tax). Call the hotel directly at 1-888-233-9257 to reserve your room and tell them that you are attending the DeSales 1960 Class Reunion. Several events have been planned for this weekend.

Thursday, October 21: Cookout BBQ on the Monastery deck at DeSales. This will be a stag night out with 1960 classmates. Burgers and Brats with beverages, and lots of Tales and Lies about the good ole days. Starts at 6:00 PM.

Friday, October 22: 50th Anniversary Breakfast at DeSales, hosted by the school.  Meet some of the students and take a tour of the school.  This is the first of what will be an annual breakfast honoring a class's 50th reunion year.

Friday Night Football – DeSales home game (7:30 pm) at Manual Stadium. The Colts are the 2009 KY Class 2A Runners-Up. Plan on meeting up with old friends after the game.

Saturday, October 23: Our 50th Reunion Dinner is planned at South Park Country Club. Cocktails 5:00 - 6:00PM, Dinner 6:00 – 8:00PM, 50th Reunion w/60’s music 8:00 – 12:00PM.

Class of 1965's 45-year Reunion
The reunion will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2010.  This "Saturday Night Stag" will be held at DeSales at 6 pm until midnight in the Coach Room and will include soft drinks, beer, and dinner from Jimbo’s Bar-B-Que.  The cost will be $25 per person.  Please RSVP with payment by October 1, 2010.

Class of 1970's 40-year Reunion
The reunion will take place on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26.  Friday will be stag night and Saturday on Millionaire’s Row at Churchill Downs.  Friday night stag will be held at DeSales on the back deck of the Monastery from 7:00 to 12:00 PM and will include soft drinks, beer, snacks and pizza. The cost will be $15/person.

Saturday will be on Millionaire’s Row at Churchill Downs, which features indoor seating in a climate-controlled environment with the opportunity to view the races from an outdoor balcony.  Your ticket includes admission to the track with a seat in the Millionaires Row dining room, a race-day program and a chef’s table buffet brunch available from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm.   The last race will run at 6:00 P.M.  The cost for the day is $35/person. In order to confirm our reservations at Churchill Downs, we are requesting your RSVP no later than May 8, 2010.

Class of 1975's 35-year Reunion
Reunion will be held on Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18, 2010.  Friday night we will meet at the DeSales Football game vs. Seneca (Homecoming game) at 7:30 pm.  After the game, we will meet back at DeSales in the Alumni Room in the Monastery.  Please enter off the Monastery deck.  On Saturday night, alums and their guests will enjoy the reunion at Patrick O'Shea's (downtown on Main Street) at 7 pm for appetizers and drinks. A letter will be sent to all '75 alums shortly with all the details and RSVP forms.

Class of 1995's 15-year Reunion
The reunion will take place on Saturday, November 27, 2010, on Millionaire’s Row/Skye Terrace at Churchill Downs, featuring indoor seating in a climate-controlled environment with the opportunity to view the races from an outdoor balcony.  Our reunion coincides with the DeSales Day at the Downs, sponsored by the DeSales Alumni Association.  Not only will we be able to meet up with our own class of ‘95, but many of our DeSales brothers will be there, too.  Come join us for some food and drink and catching up.

Your ticket includes admission to the track with a seat in the Millionaires Row/Skye Terrace dining room, a race-day program and a chef’s table buffet brunch available from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm.  The last race will run at 6:00 pm.  The cost for the day is $35.00 per person or $70.00 per couple**.  In order to confirm our reservations at Churchill Downs, we are requesting your RSVP as well as a check for the total cost no later than October 1, 2010.

**Pending DeSales Day at the Downs, a group discount could be in effect. We will refund any difference between what the Alumni Assoc. will pay and the price of your ticket.  For additional information, please contact the Advancement Office at DeSales at Janet.Harpe@desaleshs.com.

Class of 2005's 5-year Reunion
