After five years of sharing the spotlight with the
Benefit
Feast gala, the Hall of Honors Awards Dinner was staged
on its own special night at DeSales on Tuesday, August 17, at
DeSales High School.
In addition to bestowing DeSales' highest honor to three
outstanding members of the DeSales community, the Hall of
Honors Awards dinner included three new awards: the
Outstanding Service Award, recognizing an individual's
special dedication to DeSales over the past year; the
President's Award, recognizing an exemplary faculty or
staff member at DeSales; and the Young Alumnus Award,
recognizing a graduate within the past 10 years who has
brought distinction on himself and DeSales.

History
The DeSales Hall of Honors was established in 1992 to recognize members of the DeSales Community who have
brought honor to themselves or to DeSales through exemplary achievements or dedication to the school. From 1992 to 2009, thirty-five DeSales alumni and former faculty/staff members have been inducted into the Hall of Honors.
Over that time, five individuals have also been selected for
the “Lifetime Service Award", a special honor that recognizes individuals who have committed many years of their life to the mission of DeSales High School, doing all the little things without public recognition. In 2008, a special "Honorary Alumnus" award
was bestowed.
