The DeSales learning community supports a sports program that provides the student-athlete
with many opportunities to develop his individual skills while contributing to a team.
DeSales fields teams in nine KHSAA sanctioned sports. Over the years DeSales has won district and regional titles in basketball, baseball, cross-country, track and field, golf, wrestling, tennis, football and soccer, as well as
three state titles in cross-country.
More than half of the DeSales student body participates in one or more sports, nurtured by some of the area's most respected coaches. Many DeSales student-athletes have gone on to play on both the collegiate and professional levels.
Eligibility for Extracurricular Activities/Athletics
Participation in clubs, sports and extracurricular activities is encouraged as a way to enrich a young man's high school experience. DeSales' standard for extracurriculars/athletics is stricter than that of the KHSAA.
A student must have a minimum grade of C in at least 7 courses in order to compete in a scheduled KHSAA game or participate in a club/organization major
