The purpose of the camp is to teach the “Fundamentals of
Basketball”,
including offensive and defensive tactics, ball-handling, shooting
and
self-discipline on and off the court.

Camp Director—Coach John Mingus
The DeSales High School Basketball camp is conducted by Varsity
Head Coach,
John Mingus. Coach Mingus has coached both at Male and DeSales
High
Schools. He was Head JV and Assistant Varsity coach at Male High
School and
later coached the JV at DeSales before becoming Head Coach. In the
2009-
2010 season, Coach Mingus led the DeSales Varsity to the All “A”
State
Championship Finals at Eastern Kentucky University.
Coach Mingus is a 2001 graduate of DeSales and holds a Bachelor’s
Degree in
Integrated Science from Brescia University.
