National Honor Society

Beta Club and National Honor Society

Purpose:
DeSales High School has two academic organizations in place to recognize and honor our outstanding students. Sophomore, junior, and senior students are invited to join the National Honor Society and Beta Club in the fall semester. They are selected based on their character, leadership both inside and outside of our school community, service to others, and their commendable scholastic performance.

Eligibility:

National Honor Society members must:

Achieve and maintain a 3.3 minimum cumulative GPA;

Exhibit outstanding leadership, character, and service; and

Complete an application essay and obtain two teacher recommendations.

Beta Club members must:

Achieve and maintain a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA;

Promote good character, exhibit leadership skills, and exhibit service involvement; and

Complete an application essay and obtain two teacher recommendations.

Events:
Both organizations work together to better the lives of others in both the school and outside community. There are several projects that we participate in that enable us to lead by serving others.
