As an independent Catholic school, DeSales relies upon the generosity of its extended family of alumni, past and current parents and other friends of the school to continue providing quality educational programs within our tradition of faith and brotherhood.

As is widely known, the price of tuition to parents at an independent school rarely covers the actual cost of educating their child. In this regard, DeSales is no different than most other Catholic high schools. For this reason, the Development Office at DeSales works to help cover the gap between tuition payments and actual costs by raising additional funds through those in the community who may have more to give or who may simply believe in the importance of offering a Christian values-based education to the children in their community.

DeSales is very grateful to the many hundreds of loyal supporters who give annually to the school. The Annual Fund (Gifts are unrestricted, i.e. not designated for any one project)

Teach-nology (Gifts help pay the costs incurred in providing every student an IBM Thinkpad laptop within a completely wireless T1 network)

Financial Aid (Gifts supplement the amount of need-based tuition assistance the school is able to grant)

Most donations are received in the form of cash or check. We would also be happy to speak with you about making a gift of appreciated stock, making a planned gift, such as including DeSales as a beneficiary in your will, or making a charitable contribution that offers a special tax benefit to the you, such as a charitable remainder trust.

Matching Gift Programs

Also remember that many companies will match employee contributions to qualified non-profit organizations. While most will match at a 1:1 ratio, some will match 2:1, and others 3:1.
