    Ramble On!
What better way to enjoy a beautiful spring evening than to take a long stroll through fantastic neighborhoods. The Ramble for the Roses, an official Kentucky Derby Festival event, is a relaxing (non-competitive) five-mile walk through the spectacular scenery of Louisville's South End, beginning and ending at beautiful Iroquois Park. This heart-healthy event is coordinated jointly by the Holy Rosary Foundation, DeSales High School and Holy Cross High School. This year’s Ramble marks the 23rd occasion for the event, and fifth year in a row that DeSales will participate as co-host. The Ramble occurs each year on the Tuesday before Derby Day.

Registrants for the Ramble receive an official Ramble t-shirt, a Derby Pin, and a voucher for fruit or ice cream upon completion of the journey. Three water stops dot the course, allowing walkers to take a break and rehydrate if needed. After the walk, participants enjoy an entertaining mini-festival for the whole family, including music, booths, games and a sumptuous cookout.

Once a benefit for the educational programs of Holy Rosary Academy, proceeds of the Ramble are now divided between DeSales, Holy Cross, and the Holy Rosary Foundation. The event serves as a major fundraiser for each school and is an important source of funds for the Holy Rosdary Foundation’s scholarship program. Through this partnership with Holy Rosary and Holy Cross, DeSales is proud to be a part of the Ramble for the Roses, continuing the Ramble legacy of supporting education and providing Derby Festival fun for the South Louisville community. Please make plans to join us this year for the Ramble for the Roses!

    Ramble Raffle
You may also purchase a $10 chance to win a Kentucky Oaks Box for Six at Churchill Downs on May 2 during your registration! Only 300 chances will be printed. The drawing will occur at the Ramble for the Roses on April 29. Need not be present to win. Lic.# 0214.
