DeSales High School provides a sports program that develops individual skills while teaching student-athletes lessons in team work, sportsmanship, and fair play.

DeSales fields teams in 16 KHSAA sports: Archery, Baseball, Basketball, Bass FishingBowling, Cross Country, E-Sports, Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, and Wrestling.

Over the years DeSales teams have represented the school at the highest level of competition, winning team state titles in Cross Country (1968, 1969, 1970) and Football (2013, 2014), three individual state championships in Cross Country, and eight individual state championships in Track & Field.

The majority of DeSales students participate in one or more sports, and DeSales is blessed with some of the area's most respected coaches. Many DeSales alumni have gone on to play on both the collegiate and professional levels.
