Get To Know Bryce Raley '94

What did you do right after graduation?

I started college at Bellarmine to walk on and play baseball and study business. I didn’t end up playing baseball and instead transferred to UofL business school for the next three years.

Please describe DeSales in three words.

Brothers for life.

Where are you and what are you doing now?

I own a digital marketing agency called The Marketing Squad with 16 staff. We've been in business for 13 years and made the Louisville Fast 50 list in 2019.

What do you like most about what you are doing?

I get to lead a team of 15 people to serve businesses around the region. Our tagline is Tell Your Story and Grow Your Business. I also love raising my four kiddos, hanging with my wife, and coaching fastpitch softball and baseball.

What is your favorite memory about DeSales?

Playing baseball in the regional all-star game and playing in the golf state tournament were both memorable. I loved the bonds with classmates that still exist today.

Who influenced you most during your time at DeSales?

I loved Mr. Padgett's classes. He taught Spanish and English. All of my coaches in baseball and golf molded me.

What classes and learning experiences did you have at DeSales that are beneficial to the work you do?

Being involved in sports benefited me but other activities, such as yearbook and academic team, helped me be more well rounded.

What is the most important thing you learned while you were at DeSales?

Perseverance.

What advice do you have for current (or potential) students at DeSales?

Embrace the smaller school vibe. Be a friend to all, but develop some lifelong friendships. Get involved.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to play volleyball and golf, and coach fastpitch softball and baseball. I have 4 kids from ages 9 to 15, and they keep me really busy. I play golf and volleyball still from time to time.

Do you still stay in touch with any of your DeSales friends?

Yes, I stay in touch with at least 8 to 10 friends consistently.

What’s next for you/where do you see yourself in five years?

I would like to continue to grow our business and possibly expand into other areas. I would love to coach fastpitch softball at the high school level.
