DeSales Athletics is proud to announce that DeSales graduate, Ryan Glynn ‘09, has been named the head coach for the DeSales Soccer Program. After many years of coaching at the college level, Coach Glynn is excited to bring his leadership back to his alma mater.
“The chance to return to my alma mater and lead a soccer program in the South End of Louisville is what inspired me to apply for this position. I look forward to continuing to build upon the strong foundation that has been previously established while fostering a culture that is synonymous with academic achievement, athletic excellence, and community engagement.” Coach Glynn said in a statement to the school. “I would like to thank Athletic Director Don Bowers and President Rick Blackwell for entrusting me with this tremendous opportunity. The firm commitment from the school administration for both academic and athletic opportunities for students is what excites me the most in coming back to the DeSales family.”
After graduating from DeSales, Coach Glynn attended Spalding University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master of Science degree in Business Communication. He has coached at Spalding University, Holy Cross High School, as well as the Kentucky Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program.
