The Mike Pulliam Class of 1970 scholarship honors the memory of Mike Pulliam, DeSales class of 1970. The scholarship honors not only a students academic achievement, but also character, personal development, and community service.
One student from the incoming freshman class (class of 2030) will be selected for this 4-year ($1,970) renewable scholarship.
To be considered, the student must have completed the below application along with a FACTS application with shown financial need. Additionally, the applicant must submit a 250-300 word essay addressing the following topics:
- what brotherhood means to you, and how being part of a brotherhood, team, organization, or supportive community has influenced your personal growth.
- discuss how your academic journey—including any challenges you have encountered—has contributed to the person you are today.
- describe your contributions to your community and outline your future plans to continue giving back.
- reflect on your experiences, values, and commitment to ongoing development, and explain how these qualities make you a strong candidate for this scholarship.
This award is renewable as long as the student stays in good academic standing (GPA 2.5+).
