The Counseling & Guidance Department helps ensure a safe and supportive environment at DeSales that promotes the highest level of learning.  The department addresses matters that interfere with student learning and helps guide the student toward a successful future.

The Counseling & Guidance Department aims to help students reach their full potential by providing a comprehensive counseling program. Counselors address student needs by supporting development in three areas: academic achievement, college/career readiness, and social/emotional growth.

The Counseling & Guidance Department lives the vision of DeSales High School through its commitment to developing and fostering the whole student academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. 

Programs and resources are offered in the areas of:

  • college guidance
  • career planning
  • personal counseling
  • encouraging collaboration, cooperation, and communication between school and home
