Fun Facts About Mr. Bowers

Why did you choose to work at DeSales?

The family atmosphere that I witnessed. I am also a graduate (‘81) and wanted to come back home and give back what I received as a student.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

Building relationships with the students. I always love it when they come back, and we can see how they have grown so much from when they left.

What do you think has been the most positive change/impact since your time at DeSales and why?

The addition of the athletic complex has had a large impact on the DeSales and the opportunities we offer.

Why should alumni and friends support DeSales?

Alumni should support DeSales as a way to give back to the community so these young men can receive the same benefits that they received. This will help students to develop into the men that represent DeSales the right way.

What is your proudest moment at DeSales?

The opening of the stadium and how the community came together that night is a memorable day for me. I am also proud of adding bass fishing, e-sports, and lacrosse to the athletic opportunities at DeSales.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.

What would others be surprised to find out about you?

I love to work on my house, or my kid's houses, to remodel or update. My daughter bought her home, and we renovated the entire upstairs and will soon be working on the basement.

How do you spend your summer breaks?

I continue to work to prepare for the upcoming fall sports seasons.
