High School Graduation Year
2010
What did you do right after graduation? College/career/travel/military?
Right after college I attended the University of Louisville, from where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Middle/Secondary Education with a Focus in Mathematics.
Please describe DeSales in three words.
Faith, Brotherhood, Tradition
Where are you and what are you doing now?
I currently still live right here in the Southend of Louisville. I am the STEM Integration Coordinator at DeSales High School.
What do you like most about what you are doing?
I love being able to help with the constant upgrades at DeSales and providing DeSales students with an amazing experience like I had at DeSales.
What is your favorite memory about DeSales?
My favorite memory from DeSales would have to be my entire senior year. They consist of memories from Nazareth Farm, Senior Retreat, Key West Immersion, and of course the State Championship.
Who influenced you most during your time at DeSales?
My teachers and coaches all had massive impacts on my life. Actually, one teacher inspired me to get into education. Originally I was planning on being and accountant.
What classes and learning experiences did you have at DeSales that are beneficial to the work you do?
Being a math lover, all my math classes had huge impacts on me. Being able to take Advanced Placement courses in the math content area provided me a jump start in college. Also outside the classroom, from clubs to sports, I learned how to be a leader.
What is the most important thing you learned while you were at DeSales?
Brotherhood and the meaning behind it. It is hard to describe to people who don't experience it. But the meaning behind it and how those relationships can impact you for an entire life is one of the biggest things I learned.
What advice do you have for current (or potential) students at DeSales?
Be open to everything DeSales has to offer. Join clubs, play sports, be involved in the house system, and so on. You will never know what things you truly enjoy doing until you try it.
What is your favorite DeSales Event? Why?
My favorite DeSales events are home game on Friday nights. You never know who you might see. It is always nice to meet back up with alumni from my class or other classes.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy watching movie and playing video games. Also, my wife and I love to travel, especially to Disney.
What is something people may not know about you?
My entire wardrobe is Orange, Brown and White!
Do you still stay in touch with any of your DeSales friends?
I do and still talk to quite a few on a daily basis. But if I see someone who I don't talk to all the time, we bounce back like we never left this place.
What’s next for you/where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself exactly where I am. I love working at DeSales and being a part of the community. Unless I hit the lottery, I will still be around volunteering but enjoying an early retirement.
