Annual Fund

The Fr. Jude Cattelona Annual Fund represents the cornerstone of charitable giving at DeSales High School. Gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted and support a variety of operational costs, including educational programs, capital needs and financial aid.

Bridging the Gap

The Annual Fund is an important source of revenue because it helps DeSales “bridge the gap” between the actual cost of educating a student and the amount of tuition that is collected.

In an effort to keep tuition affordable for any student who wants a college-prep Catholic education, DeSales operates with a gap of around $2,000 per student. Your gift to the Annual Fund will provide operational and mission-critical support and will assist DeSales in meeting the educational needs of young men throughout Louisville and the surrounding counties. Make a Gift Today!

St. Francis DeSales Society ($1,000-$2,399)

Revered for his ministry’s emphasis on optimism, humility, and Christian humanism, St. Francis was a prodigious author known as the patron saint of journalists. Members of the St. Francis DeSales Society generously contribute underwriting gifts of $1,000 and above to promote the spirit of St. Francis and the mission of scholarship at DeSales.

Director’s Society ($500-$999)

The Latin phrase Tenui nec dimittam from the Book of Songs translates to “I have taken hold and I will not let go.” This phrase was a favorite of St. Francis DeSales, reflecting an image of God’s tender, yet tenacious, love for us. Members of the Director’s Society show their resolute dedication to DeSales with annual giving between $500-$999.

Principal’s Society ($250-$499)

Starting in 1956 with Fr. Jude Cattelona, the principal at DeSales is challenged with the academic and spiritual development of students at a formative age. Annual gifts of $250-$499 demonstrate strong support of the vision, leadership, and dedication of the many DeSales mentors who have helped students reach their full potential.

Colt Society ($100-$249)

The Colt mascot at DeSales is a symbol of youth, strength, and determination. Annual gifts of $100-$249 help DeSales honor its mission of challenging students to achieve high standards in pursuit of ever-higher goals.

Brown and White Club (under $99)

With faith that in each new task “the men of the brown and white will once again bring fame,” the school colors reflect the tradition of DeSales High School. DeSales counts on the loyal and steadfast contributions of donors at the $1-$99 level.
